CALIFORNIA: Molly's Bill on Track to Become Law

CALIFORNIA Medical Exemption Bill AB 258 - Molly's Bill - has passed unanimously in the Assembly (70 to 0). It is now ordered to the Senate for the first reading.

Last year, this bill was approved and killed in the Budget Appropriations Committee.

According to Kris Christine, The Rabies Challenge Fund, this year "it passed Appropriations on May 5th. With this kind of momentum, plus being on the consent calender (meaning the bill is considered non-controversial and there is no floor debate or discussion), it is all but certain to pass the Senate. Then it will be law!"
